PLT Schools 

Goals:

To recognize school campus/districts that incorporate Project Learning Tree into their curriculum. 

Criteria:

  • PLT Facilitator(s) located near the selected school designated by PLT Steering Committee to represent TPLT.
  • The Certified School will be asked to select a representative to work directly with TPLT representatives.
  • The TPLT representative and Certified School liaison will create a plan to incorporate PLT in the school’s/district’s curriculum based on the specific needs of the school/district.
  • 75% of the instructional staff at a campus needs to be trained or 90% of a specific discipline in a district.
  • At least 5 PLT activities must be included in the curriculum.
  • At least 50% of the students have participated in a PLT activity.
  • At least one environmental community service project must be completed that reflects the needs of the community.
  • Demonstrate some use or improvement of green space/school environment.
  • Communicate shared successes of PLT at their campus/district.
